A pool ionizer system can be added to most pools and spas – chlorine, bromine and even salt water pools. Adding an Ionizer to your pool filter allows you to kill more bacteria and stop algae growth without having to add more chemicals to your water. The more chemicals that are used, the greater the chance of throwing your pH off balance, creating water that is harsh on the skin and eyes. The Ionizer treats your pool water with mineral ions that help to kill off more than 90% of the harmful bacterias and algaecides that can accumulate in the water. The unit is virtually maintenance free, though you will need to replace the electrodes of your swimming pool ionizer every couple of years. If you have an existing salt water sanitation system, adding a pool ionizer is the best thing you can do to control the pH so that your chlorine can do its job more effectively. The backyard pool season is short in Canada, adding an ionizer to your swimming pool means you won’t have to miss out on any potential pool days because of algae growth or unbalanced pool water. There are different sizes of ionizers for spas and swimming pools, we will help you find the right one for your pool, contact us today for the best advice.
